A total of 1161 vacancies are being recruited for the post of Constable Tradesman.

• Educational Qualification

According to the CISF Constable Notification 2025, all the candidates who have passed at least 10th from a government approved educational institution are eligible to apply for this post. To apply for various trade posts, you can apply for the trade for which you have an ITI certificate.

• Physical Qualification

To get a job appointment for this post, the candidate must pass the physical test. The candidate must have a minimum physical height of 170 cm and the chest size in normal condition should be 80 cm and 85 cm in the folded state. The height of the Gorkha candidates is 165 cm and the chest is 78 cm in normal condition and 83 cm in expanded condition. For ST category candidates, the height is 162.5 cm, the chest is 76 cm and 81 cm in expanded condition.
And to pass the physical ability test, the candidate will have to run a distance of 1600 meters in 6 minutes and 30 seconds.

• Age limit

For admission to the post of Constable Tradesman CISF, the candidate must be of age as on 1 August 2025 – the minimum age of the candidate can apply for this post only if he is 18 years old, and the maximum age of the candidates is 23 years. However, for reserved candidates, there is a maximum age relaxation as per the CISF Constable Trademan Recruitment Rules.
